Along the Tarn and at Lac du Né
The landscaped Tarn riverbanks offer a lovely walk from the centre. You cross the river to reach Villebourbon, a popular district with its Saturday morning market. A little further out, Lac du Né provides a leisure area, fishing and shaded strolls. An ideal setting for a green afternoon, trainers on and conversation easy.
Orchards and flavours
A few kilometres from Montauban, the Quercy orchards produce the famous Moissac chasselas, a golden PDO grape, delicate to share at the end of a meal. Summer food markets, plums, melons and asparagus mark the seasons. Downtown restaurants revisit duck, foie gras and Quercy saffron. A perfect ground for simple dinners and conversations that stretch out pleasantly.
Lively stages
Each spring, the Alors chante festival celebrates French song with an eclectic programme of rising and established talents. The Olympe de Gouges Theatre hosts concerts and plays all year round. The student city also moves thanks to its university centre. On Lyad, Montauban members share their favourite spots and seasons; it is up to you to find someone to extend the evening with.
